Thank you for your suggestion to re-home. However, on the flip side of that is what happens if in the new home the new owners are not as tolerant? Barking can become a trigger for some people whom you'd never suspect to be abusive. A kick, a slap across the muzzle, from people who appear to be model pet lovers. I've personally seen this.
No, re-homing is not an option in this instance. Unless of course, the dog is taken from her because of annoyance barking in her new home. If that's the case, we then have to deal with a traumatic separation, and the depression that follows of both dog, and owner.
It's not something I want to see done. It's not something she wants to do.
