I know here in Texas you are required to pay sales taxes on any litters you sale. All you have to do is go to your local court house and get a DBA (doing business as) under the kennel name you decide to choose and you will be issued a sales permit. I think that if you do that then no one else could use that name legally but I am not sure if it applies to just the state the permit is issued in or the whole U.S., you might want to check out that possibility. |
