OP, spaying/neutering is a really good idea. Would keep breeders away. I certainly don't blame you for wanting to find a home close to where you live. That way, if you choose, you can keep an eye on things, or maybe make an agreement that allows you to keep in touch. Rescue adoptions they have in their contracts that if there is ever any reason to re-home the pet, the rescue is supposed to be notified. Was wondering if you could write up a contract with the person who adopts you little ones and include such a statement? Need to make sure that it is all legal, though. I just would hate to be in your shoes. Please take care of yourself during this stressful time. Lowers your immune system, you know.
