On every other forum I'm on, there is a seperate section where new members (or members new to posting) can come on and introduce themselves. I think its a great way to keep people from feeling left out. It gives people a chance to talk about themselves, their interests, why they're here, etc., which helps other people realize what they have in common with them, which gets them some friends.
On a forum this large, a lot of posts are accidently missed or skipped over -- especially if they're from a member we're not familiar with. I think having a seperate section just for people to introduce themselves will keep us from missing those posts, so they will feel more wanted.
Just a suggestion I thought I'd throw out there! | Ohhh I Love this idea!!! Good thinking Megan!!! |
