Good luck. My 11 yr old Mini Schnauzer was just diagnosed with diabetes. She has to have insulin 2X a day. She is VERY overweight she weighs 21lbs (should be 15)ooops. It seems cute to have a fat dog, but it really is bad for them. My mini stayed with my parents when I moved, but I still consider her mine. They put her on free feed, so she blew up like a balloon! I feel bad, but she has already lost 2lbs, so they are getting her all better!
