We use Denosyl here.
SAMe is the human equivalent to Denosyl, but they probably are taken the same... It has to be given at least one hour before eating. If you have to give it in a very small amount of food (one small bite just to get him to swallow), that is fine. Never break the pill or it is useless. It is good to always give water right after.
Are his ALTs elevated?
Did they do a bile acid test?
