The furthest I have travelled with Merlot is Alaska and we are from Cali. He's flown all over the U.S and I always take him in the cabin with me! We have used Continental, Delta and Alaska airlines all of which will allow you to take your pet onboard, so long as you have them in an approved carrier and they fit under the seat in front of you. I use a Sherpa bag from Petco that works well, but there are others. Just make sure to let him get in it and hang out days before the flight so that he is used to it.
