Some breeders send in the litter registration right away and some don't. It is possible they sent the litter registration in and then found out AKC needed a DNA test done on the male if he had sired more than 3 litters in one year or 5 lifetime. The person you bought the puppy from should have kept you better informed. I know some people that sell with limited registration do not provide the papers until proof is provided that the dog has been neutered. I hope you get it resolved.
