I'm not "fond" of the dog shampoo smell either but it makes their hair soooooooooooooooo nice, that I can over look it. It actually makes the boys smell "manly" LOL
But I don't think the smell is TOO bad
I have found this is the only shampoo that makes them feel clean for so long and their hair so soft and shiny.
