I agree with Stacy. I know some people do not agree that Yorkies are pack animals and do not need the organization, but those people never lived with a pack of Yorkies. A human always needs to be the Grand Alpha, especially if you breed or sell a couple of pack members. They become disorganized and confused and it is really hard on them. I also saw this with the wild dogs in Africa...If the human is the constant and the Grand Alpha, the pack still has some structure and they fight less.
These Yorkies get our numbers really quickly and are the masters at manipulation. But, hey, that is their personalities and why we luv 'em..The top dog needs to be recognized as such and treated with the respect that the other dogs treat that leader. First treat, first pet, first out the door and so on. JMHO |
