The GE is done every three months or so...not really with a theme per say. You have to be a donating member with a minimum amount of posts.
If I remember correctly the mimimum is $20 or $25. Most people spend more. If you go to the top of the thread you will see the listing for the rules.
It's a lot of fun. If you have three dogs you can enter three times and you will get three seperate buddies. The buddies can be from anywhere and sex is undetermined. Its' sort of a grab bag that the Admin does to get the names. Your pmed the name and address and there is a deadline for sending out the gifts.
