No, it doesn't mean a c-section is necessary. If your girl was bred Jan 23rd, the pups won't be lining up yet. Your vet will let you know if he sees anything that may be a complication. A large pup is a concern. An ultrasound so early? Did your vet suggest this? You don't want to rush into a c-section. My girl had to have an emergency c-section once...she went quite a bit past due. I do want to say though, that she has had a litter naturally since then. Don't hesitate to ask questions or to do a search on here or the net....better safe than sorry. Good luck with your litter!
