When I got my Yorkie 2 weeks ago, I was meant to go to a local small store that was family run that did grooming and they bred Yorkies, but on the way there...the shopping center next to the one we were supposed to go into had a large sign saying "PUPPIES", so we assumed it was that store.
We went in, it was called "Puppy Boutique", I saw Henry and I fell in love, and on emotion we signed the papers, got him and went home.
I went home and did my research and then found out after about a few searches, that puppy boutique...used to be known as Wizard of Claws, I panicked, took him to the vet 3 times to have him checked for everything!!!
He's healthy, the only problem was, they lied about his weight, the most important thing is he is healthy!.
Thank god he is though, because after reading what everyone has said about that place, I literally cried at the countless horrible stories I read, and the undercover investigations into the puppy mills they get their puppies from!.
I'm an idiot, but I don't regret it, because Henry is such a sweetie and I adore him. But I will be much more careful next time, I am a newb and this is my first Yorkie, the last dog I had was a toy poodle and I was 11 years old.
So I went and got him on emotion without realizing the dangers.
I know this has nothing to do with your post haha, but it reminded me of what happened with mine. |
