Default Would love advice!

We have our Mariah (who will be 13 wks old this Sat) in my master bathroom (it’s big). We are struggling with the pee pad training. She goes on the pads but she also goes other places.

I'm thinking about blocking off part of the room so that she doesn't have such a big area. I'm wondering if she only had room for her bed, food and pee pad if she would consistently go on the pee pad.

Do you think that this would work or that it's "mean" to contain them in such a small space while they are so young?

We crate trained our Bichon which worked very well (she was potty trained to go outside very quickly) but I think Mariah is still too young to be put in a crate for that long yet. We are all gone for several hrs at work/school. The other problem is that we have been having terrible weather so I thought it would be better for her to be pee pad trained till spring. We are thinking about getting an x-pen to put in our kitchen - in the future.

I would really love to get her trained!

I would love to know what everyone thinks.
