 Jambo just got castrated...
Jambo got castrated yesterday and both my mom and I were balling when we had to drop him off. He got 5 puppy teeth removed at the same time. The vet gave me some pain meds (Rimadyl) but I can tell my poor little baby is in pain. He hasn't taken a pee since we came home last night. He doesn't have a lamp shade on as the vet said his stitches are inside and he glued sutured the outside but I am afraid of him jumping on the couch and hurting himself. I asked a lot of questions but the vet's office didn't tell me too much of anything in detail. I am to keep in from walking/jumping, it is okay for him to lick his wound, his appetite may be suppressed but feed him as usual, etc. Baby had 5 teeth taken out! They didn't even ask me if he ate kibble or canned. I grounded up his pain meds and put it in with some chicken soup for him. He has the shakes and his face looks tiny and miserable. I just want to keep crying thinking of all the pain and discomfort he can't fully express.
Any suggestions on things to do during recovery is much appreciated. |
