For those of you (us, lol) that have more than just a couple of furbabies, do you have a kennel license? It has always been the general belief around here that if you have more than 4 dogs, you need a license. I just found out (because I called my twp office) that the limit is 3, and you can only obtain more dogs and a license for breeding or showing purposes.
I can understand it to an extent, but look at all the shelter dogs out there. If someone has a couple of acres of land and can give a dog a good home, they cannot have more than 3 dogs unless its for breeding?
I know they are trying to prevent animal hoarding, but my dogs are under 10 lbs a piece! My neighbor could have several hundred lbs of great danes, and I cannot have 4 10 lb dogs?
So I did not let them know that I have 4. My neighbors dont complain, I live on a dirt road, and I have 2 1/2 acres.
I want another yorkie too, LOL.
I take good care of my animals, I think that should be all that matters.
