Mine are on a mixture of home cooked, Nutro Natural, Wellness, Eukanuba, Science Diet Natures Blend and a few supplements (Flax Oil, Glucosamine). All tweaked slightly for each of the 3 smaller dogs.
I would LOVE it if mine could eat the premium foods, but they can't stomach them--it actually made one very sick and almost killed another.
So what is "better" may not really be "better" for every dog.
There is alot of trial and error to find what fits. You can contact most food companies to get free samples first. There is a sticky, I believe, at the top of this section with that info.
