| He is still very young and has very little control of us bladder right now. Give him time! When I got Autumn (she was over 5 months) it took exactly 2 weeks to the day to even get her to pee or poop outside. She was using wee wee pads (and I am not a big fan of those JMO) then after that, it took maybe another 2-3 weeks. She had a few accidents in her crate from time to time but that was the only problem we had w/her.
Blaze we got fairly young (8weeks- the breeder had an emergency so I took him as a huge favor for her!) he amazed me from day one. I brought him home and he went right outside w/Autumn and peed then pooped! I was shocked and thrilled all at the same time. Don't get me wrong, he would go out do his business come in and two minutes later pee on the floor. But thats the course of having a puppy. Yorkie or Great Dane......doesn't matter. Bottom line, you must stay consistent. Keep taking your puppy outside, even if it means every 20 minutes. It might be hard at first but it will certainly pay off in the end.
Good luck! |
