I had to have mine when I was 32. It was done vaginally with bladder repair and I only spent 3 days in the hospital. I had uterine prolaspe (sp). Recovery was pretty fast, but you do need to do as your doctor instructs you. I felt so much better after about 6 weeks. In two years I begin to have ovarian cysts. I had a laproscopic to rupture the cyst. In 6 months the cysts returned. My husband, and I along with the doctor made the decision to have both ovaries and tubes removed. Now that was a tough abdominal surgery with a weeks stay in the hospital. Just be sure to take it easy and get lot of rest. Good luck!
