I'm confused. Viki~ didn't you take Heaven back b/c Bleu was so agitated when she was there? And it was deleterious to his recovery being so agitated
? I don't understand why you're looking for another so soon before he's totally recovered, when you already "tested" him.
I can understand wanting your little girl. Believe me, I just went thru it a week or so ago...was all ready to go see her, had all sorts of girly stuff picked out (thank goodness I didnt' actually buy it b/c I must have had a premonition), and it never happened. I'm so sad about it, but I figure it was for the best. Things happen when they should if you just let them. I thought my time had come, but I was wrong. I know that the right one will come along at the right time.
I'm not trying to hammer you for this, but you said yourself that you were jumping the gun and being selfish b/c you so wanted a little girl.And I can relate to that.... But I think (and I say this with all due respect to you) you really should wait until Bleu is out of his cast and back to himself before you bring another dog into the family. He must be feeling very vulnerable right now and I bet his self esteem is pretty low, even if he is full of energy....bringing a new dog in would make him think he's being replaced maybe. Or at least his position as top dog is being challenged. I just feel like your first commitment is to HIM and only him right now. I really think the timing is wrong to bring in a new puppy and usurp his "throne"...you may believe that you won't be any different with him, but I bet he feels differently.
I know you're a good person and I know how much you love Bleu....(and my grandparents always had Blue Boy in their living room too! Wish I had that painting now), but I think you need to just slow down a little bit. Your girl will still be there when Bleu is recovered and ready to enjoy a new playmate!
I hope you don't take this wrong, b/c I'm not trying to insult you at all. I just want what is the best for all of you. And I think Bleu deserves ALL of your attention til he's out of that cast at least! Seana and Max
