I see that it has been a year and just now posting about his death. I am sorry for the tragic and unnecessary death of your baby boy. I hope and pray that you are more protective and careful with this new little one. Common sense should tell us that no matter how tame and sweet a dog is, we need to be the protector of our babies and not become complacent with their surroundings. I hope and pray that your common sense kicks in.

My brother has two pet pit bulls. Their parents are Champion Work Dogs. These two dogs do not have a mean bone in their body. I have house sat for them on a couple of occasions, which included caring for these dogs. They are sweet and gentle loving kids.

Would I take my Yorkie around them. Not on your life. I love my little girl and the potential risk of what might or could happen isn't worth her life, no matter how gentle or sweet the other dog is. When my brother goes to visit my mom, alot of times he takes one of his dogs over there. Should I show up with my Yorkie, and he is there, my dog would stay in her kennel, in the car, or I would take her back home. She is very precious to me and I will protect her at all costs.

I post very little here but I could not sit back and let this thread slide.

I wish for your new little Yorkie a long, safe, healthy, fun and happy life.
