Since Poms are double coated they need to be brushed at least three times a week. Misting first with water and a little conditioner added. Start from the neck and brush backwards. The hair will fall back into place. The misting and brushing helps keep any dirt from drying out the coat. Use a bristle or pin brush. Only shampoo not more than twice a month and use a very mild shampoo and a good conditioner. Their undercoat is shed once or twice a year, but they do shed all the time, which makes brushing important. You can even use a dry shampoo when necessary. Add omega 3 and 6 oils to the diet each day.
