Hmmmm....well, I haven't heard the best of things about cod liver, myself - and at once per week, I'm not sure you can keep it in a proper concentration to make it therapeutic. What about a salmon oil daily, could you try that instead? I have heard that cod oil on a regular basis can build up and become toxic - but that it can be safe at tiny doses, for whatever that's worth.
Also, what about trying a leave-in spray-on hair conditioner (human)?
