(His current one was too busy, and recommended a friend of hers) I made my biggest mistake when I went to pick him up by not saying anything then. She had cut him so short that she nicked him down the whole length of his back. I wondered why she called me and told me not to pick him up for another hour. She was panicing about how to cover it up. Anyway, from that day on our baby has had skin allergies. He was not quite 2 when this happened. He twitches his head, rubs his whole body on the rug like he is itching to death. I have taken him to 2 different vets besides our regular one. They all said that it is possible that she used a blade in the clipper from another dog that had allergies and transferred them onto our dog.
I am still furious. I did confront her on the phone. She denied any wrong doing, of course. She said she had been trimming dogs for 35 years and never had a complaint.
His tummy skin gets red too. I have to give Scooter daily antihistimines. I bathe him in oatmeal shampoo. He has never had fleas. We give him flea medicine year round.
It makes me sick to see him suffer like that.
I wish you all the best and hope your baby gets well.

Aw Kathy first off welcome to YT. Oh man I would have been spitting mad. I would have sued her or put up fliers so people could know all about her. Odds are she doens't steralize her equipment. Very bad...you can pass on tons of things including ringworm and some types of mange like that.
