Aww - I know what the whining is like. My little Lillie whines just because she is so spoiled she always wants it her way. Most of the time it is not even over food. I have been trying to break her and when she starts to whine, I do not play into it. I know it is tough, but stay strong because you know she is not whining because she is hurt - she is healthy and very well loved.
