The best way to tell if mom has enough milk it by monitoring the puppies. If they are gaining weight and seem satisfied then you are probably okay. The first few days the pups will be nursing about every one or two hours and the mom should want to be with them constantly. After 4 days the mom will start leaving the nest for brief periods. It is important the mom eats lots of food. I hope your visit with the vets goes well.
