Welcome to YT!!! Both my babies are litter box trained, but instead of cat litter I use a puppy pee pad in the box. I have to tape it down becuase they tend to drag them around otherwise. With my male I have to use a higher sided rubbermaid container because he lifts his leg to pee.
Molly actually came to us trained to use a litter box with cat litter, but I didn't want to use it and she transitioned over pretty well. There are lots of post on the board about it. There is also a litter product for dogs that is pelleted newspaper, but Tucker would try to eat them.
How exciting about your new puppy!!! How can you stand the wait? Do you have a puppy already picked out? Male or female?
