My surgeon doesn't believe in letting them be in pain. Lucy was prescribed 2 different pain meds one was for the first week and the other was for the first 2 weeks. And when I needed more they called my local vet and I picked it up there.
I know my experiences don't carry a lot of weight, because I don't post much. I'm more of a lurker, but I do follow a lot of the threads. I just think that I don't often have anything worth posting.

Lucy's doing fine now, real feisty LOL. She's 14 months old.
Here's a picture of Lucy after her LP surgery. She was only four months old. You can see her poor little bare butt from where she was shaved LOL She looked pretty funny until it grew back in. As it grew out I had the groomer taper the rest of her coat so it would blend in more with what was just coming in.
