I agree with others - ones location can play a part in the cost of the furbaby. Also, as another said, some care more for home placement of their babies as compared to price. And factoring in bloodlines of the dam and sire will also have an impact on the price. My first yorkie was $500 in New Orleans, over 20 years ago. Gabby was $400 11 years ago for where I live now and Gage was $0 - he was given to me by someone who didn't want him but it was a blessing to get him out of that house and I would have gladly paid to have accomplished that.
