I am not sure about this answer, I have head on here about how bad the pain is for the lp surgery and the fact that the Doc only wants to give me a few days worth makes me really nervous. Any thoughts please.
When my shih had the surgery he had a pain patch attached to his tummy. After a week and a half I had to remove it and return it to the hospital. The Dr did this so he could get a contuous set of pain relief because he said it was going to be very painful the first few days of recovery especially because he was an active pup.

Good luck and I hope all goes well.
