I loved my birds more than anything in the entire world and I just want to make sure that people know what they're getting into before they get a cockatoo. There's so many sad (honestly, sadder than the given-up Yorkie stories....birds are MUCH harder to find homes for if it doesn't work out) and horrific stories. Parrots are so intelligent and they are therefore, very demanding of your time and patience. If you don't have a lot of your day on a regular basis to devote to a cocktoo, consider a different type of parrot. If you want any information or anything please feel free to PM me. My cockatoos were my LIFE. It's also extremely difficult to find qualified petsitters if you think you might ever want to go somewhere for more than a day.
