I use the Healthy Powder Mix for my healthy maltese, and she does great with it....It contains many of the vitamins and minerals that she needs without having to give it in pill form. It's always best to get nutrients from a food source if possible.
The nutritional yeast provides the b-vitamins and iron, lecithin provides the linoleic acid (omega-6 fatty acids), kelp provides trace minerals, and calcium to balance the phosphorus levels in yeast and lecithin.
This information is all from Dr. Pitcairn's book...
I choose not to use the vitamin C, since it's not required...
I also add vitamin E to each recipe.
Once you mix up the powder once, you will have enough for several months.
