Supposedly, a green eye flash when a picture is taken indicates a silky coat. A red eye flash indicates a cotton coat. But, I think there are variations in between. My Juju has a silky-feeling coat, but it sure likes to tangle real easily. And Betty has a coarser coat...no tangles. Both of their eyes shine red.
