Maggy was a terror at doing this and I was at my wits end. I did the penny can thing, didn't work with her, although a coffee can with nuts and bolts in it did work for my boxer when he was a pup. Maggy just thought the penny can was a play toy and wanted to bite me even more. I went out and bought a whistle and started using that. When she bites, I say no firmly ONE TIME, if that doesn't work, I blow the whislte one time very loud and short and then say, "no bite" very sternly. I've only been doing this a few days now and I'm so happy how it's worked, Maggy is like a changed lil girly! I can now hold her, play with her, give her kisses and huggles and she doesn't bite us anymore. Good luck.
