I can certainly understand where you are coming from. Last year, Gabby had an extremely rough time she went through - I almost lost her (that's part of the reason I've been gone so long from YT). First the vet found what he thought was a tumor in her mouth - was just a polyp thank goodness! Then she got an extremely serious yeast infection on her feet that she transferred to her mouth when she licked - she was not able to eat or even drink water without throwing up and spent 5 days on iv meds getting better. Then, if that weren't enough, she tore her ACL 2 months later and spent more time in the hospital to have surgery and recover. People would say to me, especially after the yeast infection, "If she were mine, I'd just put her down". I screamed at one and told them they were a heartless b@s$^*d and how would they like it if they were diagnosed with a major illness and their wife wanted to just "put them down"!

There are, in my opinion, 2 kinds of people in this world in regards to pets - those who love them unconditionally and those who just basically have no clue what it is to be a pet owner (or to be owned by a pet!). I'm so sorry you have had to go through this!
