Default Yorkie sleeping issue

Hi, I'm new to Yorkie Talk. I'm posting on behalf of Kirby our male 5 year
old Yorkie. He is 6 pounds and in good health. He regularly sees the vet.
He sleeps in my daughter's bed. Maybe 5 or 6 times a year, we will notice
a small piece of fecal matter where he sleeps in her bed. This seems to
occur while he is asleep because it is not the size of a normal bowel
movement. Upon questioning the vet., he said that when Kirby is
in a sound sleep, the anal sphincter muscle relaxes - allowing this to
occur. He also said that it could be due to passing gas and a little
more. Does this make sense? Is anybody else out there familiar with
this situation? I should also add that Kirby is wee wee pad trained and
very rarely has accidents. Thanks for your help.
