I do feel your pain. It's funny, I'm a member of 4wt and post there occasionally, but am more addicted here for the same reasons you don't like it as well. I love the constant activity, always something going on. If you post something it's usually only minutes until you get a response.
I hope its back soon. In the meantime, pick a thread and join in. We're pretty friendly.
Oh, and to answer your first question, I always start with user cp to check out any threads I've already posted on, then just keep checking new threads for anything, well...new
And of course, I have my favorite threads that I try to keep alive.
