Unless you catch her in the act, it is confusing to her. She won't know what you are talking about.
Emphasize the positive. Have a party when she gets it right. Ignore it when she does it wrong unless you catch her and then put her immediately where she should go. Good luck! It is time consuming, but well worth it!
