I've noticed that most of the "on calls" don't even call in to check. There are 3 other employees who are sometimes scheduled for on call and aren't even available. They are at their other job, so my manager thinks its my problem and responsibility to come in since they cant.
It just seems like that is the main problem my manager has and shes trying to add in this other thing about me being unhappy to cover her tracks, so she can fire me. Grrrrrrrr.... |
If your not scheduled, then your not scheduled and if you can't come in, well frankly that's there problem for scheduling poorly. That's how it is at my work. I give my manager my availablilty so she doesn't schedule me during those times, and it hasn't been a problem. So if you have some sort of availability agreement, I would assume they can't fire you. They might have to let you go if your not available during the times they need you, but I don't think they can fire you because of it.
