It sounds like the problem was not the meeting place but the evasiveness of the potential dogs owners...who knows if they were actually the owners or if it was stolen.
The breeder that I just went to uses a vet close to my house and I checked with him, plus he had the AKC papers and shot records, I met the sire and dam and he showed me their AKC pedigrees. I mean any responsible breeder or owner should be able to procure this information without a problem. I think you did the right thing by walking away. |
