What kind of Bully Sticks do you buy that they are full of chemicals? They are baked and dried/dehydrated. The good ones all say "no additives, no chemicals" I've given mine sticks forever and we've not had a problem with diarrhea unless Loki eats an ENTIRE 12" stick. They are like 80% protein so I think that would happen with too much of anything. Also, you can have any treat spoil or have bacteria in it.
Are they wrapped in an air tight container? They would have to be if there were no preservatives on them. I like to feed my girls their home made food, and for chewing, I buy the beef femur bones. It's so much better for their teeth.
