This was my response to Debbie's email:
Oh Debbie,
I am so sorry! I am sitting here wth tears streaming down my face for this poor baby. I know we all did everything we could for him, it is just so distressing that anyone could ignore his obvious pain. Even the Bakersfield SPCA. They should have known that he was seriously ill. I am no vet, but I knew it as soon as I held him.
At least he is in a better place with no more pain and I can only hope he knew some well deserved love before he passed. I know it didn't take long for him to trust me and to let me love him.
I hope Stephanie is okay... I know she did everything she could. Thank you Debbie for giving me the opportunity to meet and love him for a short time.
