Smile newbie

hi to all out there im new to this and hope im in the right place
i have just taken on a stray yorkie from our local dogs home in staffs uk
he was so matted and his coat was full of knots mats poo and shavings from the kennel
as soon as i saw his little face i fell head over heels in love with him
going to the dogs home is a very stressful and heartbreaking thing to do
anyway i named my baby joe i only told him this name 3 times and he responded to it
i brought him home on the 29th jan this year gave him lots of hugs and kisses even though he was in the state he was it didnt matter to me
last week i took him to the groomers and even they could not rid him of his problem coat so i had to take him to the vets and he was sedated and clipped right off nearly naked
hes had a bath at home and he is an absolute darling
he is so loving back and never leaves my side
he has overcome me having to leave him home for 2 hours in the morning also in the afternoon whilst i go work
he even lifts each front paw when he wants to go out for wees or poos and if i miss this he does it on the mat hes so good and sits straight away from day one
only problem i have is last sat he got my budgie and killed it and now is licking his lips at my guinea pig i have put him high up away from joes reach
wondering if joe will ever accept my piggie or will i have to send piggie to another home any advise on this would be great
so after such a long introduction i look forward to keeping in touch here i only found this site by accident it looks great bye for now
