I work in the special ed department of our elem. school and bullying is a major problem. Our school has implemented a program to stop it, but the teachers also have to buy into the program and not just tell the kids to quit tattling.

I agree that the saying "sticks and stone may break my bones but words can never harm me" is absolutely a myth. It should never be repeated but I hear it all the time.

May the young man recover and get the help he most desperately needs. Prayers are going his way.
