Default cough/sneeze spasms? help!

Pippa has been coughing some at night for the last little bit, and I had suspected she may have some symptoms of collapsed trachea. Anyway, tonight she is having what seems like coughing spasms. It almost looks like hiccups but she's coughing, almost like sneezing, and sometimes hacks like she's going to bring up a hairball. She's pacing around and licking around her nose and mouth and can't stop coughing. Her gums look pink, so I think she's moving air ok. I gave her some Robitussin about 10 minutes ago. I don't know what else to do. Also, we have tried rubbing her neck gently, but she doesn't really want us to touch her. Any suggestions???
