I work at a shelter and I can tell you smaller dogs are more likely to bite then bigger dogs. Bigger dogs just do more damage. What happens if they ban all the larger breeds? People will then start on the smaller ones. I have never met a human aggressive pitbull. Rottweilers, Shepherds, Chows and Cattledogs will bite people before a pitbull will. It is not the breed it is the owner! That is just my oppinion and the oppinion of most shelter workers and animal control officers that I know. |
I agree with you on this. It is like saying guns kill. People kill, not guns. It is the owner that makes the dog who it is, not the breed. Yorkies were bred to chase and KILL rats and small rodents. Does that make them vicious? Is some people's eyes it does. Responsible owners make responsible pets
