The swab test has 38 dog breeds in its data base. The Mars/Wisdom has 150 dog breeds, I think.
The test is new so it is not cheap. The vet has to order the kits/tubes from Mars and then they do the blood draw and send it in for analysis. It comes back with information about the accuracy and the breakdown of the breed/s in your dog to the vet and then to you. There is also information on the breed/s history etc.
The day we had Dayzee done, we had a total of about 15 dogs tested--so it averaged about $100 a dog. The vet worked out a good "package" deal for us. |
