Congrats!!! You said he will be 7 1/2 weeks old when you get him? From what others say they should stay with their Mom till they are 12 weeks old.
I know the wait is hard, I'm waiting to get mine in a few weeks. I think you'll have better luck waiting a few more weeks for him to grow up a little more. Otherwise, your plan sound good.
