Try letting him lick vaseline petroleum jelly or hairball formula off your fingers. It wont take much to grease his little belly so that he can go easier. It is pretty normal for puppies who have been weaned recently to have constipation. He is kind of young to be separated but that is another issue since you have him so treat the constipation.
