The dogs were thrilled to see us and recovered from their grogginess within a day. This was back in the early 80s, before microchips, and tattooing was the way to go. My social security number was then registered with the National Dog Registry for a one-time fee of $35 and that is how we were reunited with our dogs.....it worked!
